Admission Reviews

Recognizing appropriate admissions and getting patients into Observation or Inpatient status is paramount to the success of any rural hospital. While many hospitals have Case Managers available for admission reviews utilizing standardized guidelines during regular business hours, the majority of admissions occur after hours and weekends.

CMI offers admission reviews 24 hours per day 365 days per year. Not only does this ensure proper admissions and categorization of patients, it saves the case manager substantial time attempting to manage errors that occurred over night or over the weekend.  We offer per-call pricing so that you can use CMI only when you need us. We do offer discounted rates for volume with a service agreement.

CMI provides a seamless extension of your staff 24/7

Handling first level ED reviews after 5pm and on weekends is a challenge for smaller facilities. The ER volume typically doesn’t justify the expense of around the clock case management. Our case management nursing staff is available when you need us. Access our nurse reviewers to augment your local resources 24 hours a day. Our reviewers are trained and well versed in InterQual® and Milliman Care Guidelines (MCG). If your ED is tied to your EMR we can have real-time access to your clinical documentation, this enables our nurses to provide admission review without disrupting your workflow.
